Biblical Disc Profile
The DISC Profile has been used by educators and professionals for decades. For Christian churches and religious leaders, many choose to utilize a Biblical DISC Profile. One form of the this is the Biblical Counseling DISC Profile. Written and devised by pastoral counselor, Tres Adames, the Biblical Counseling DISC Profile not only gives personalized feedback on a user’s personality, but also explains the difference between temperament, personality, and character. Results from this version of the DISC also correlates the user’s personality with characters in the Bible.
There are four main types or temperaments profiled by the Biblical Counseling DISC Profile. They are known by the four letters of the acronym "DISC", as well as by their original Greek names coined by ancient thinker, Hippocrates. The four types are: Dominant (choleric), Influencing (sanguine), Steady (phlegmatic), and Compliant (melancholic). Most users score high on one type, and sometimes second in another type. Users who take the profile will be able to learn more about their natural strengths as well as weaknesses. These weak areas are posited as "growth areas" by the Biblical Counseling DISC Profile, which provides practical suggestions to the user so they can grow spiritually and emotionally. The Biblical Counseling DISC Profile is an excellent tool for Christian pastors, Christian counselors, biblical counselors, and lay counselors working with believers in the local church.
